M1 Junction 23a to 25 Smart Motorway Landscaping

NT Killingley’s Soft Landscaping department is pleased to announce that they have secured a £706k contract with Costain Galliford Try JV.

 

The scheme involves the conversion of approximately 12km on the  M1 between Junctions 23a to 25 to an “all lane running” solution and is part of a nationwide programme of upgrades to Britain’s Motorway network.

 

Our works consist of 13.4ha of grassland seeding and supply and installation of 52,000 mixed native trees and shrubs, all individually protected with rabbit guards. Following completion a two-year maintenance regime will be undertaken including the provision of Traffic Management.  It is a challenging scheme where night working is required to comply with Highways England Health & Safety Requirements.

 

Our works are scheduled to finish at the end of May 2018.
