Helping Our Community

Our aim is to make positive contributions to the community, society, our employees and to build partnerships with other groups and organisations.

At NT Killingley we provide funding for charitable donations, sponsor nominated causes and local sporting initiatives. Our people are involved in the selection of charities and events that we support.

An agriculture-based environmental social enterprise, based in Langwith, Rhubarb Farm provides a valuable service to the local community using a therapeutic organic horticulture model for developing skills, confidence, employability and for improving health and well-being.

The farm helps unemployed, recovering drug and alcohol misusers, ex-offenders and people with learning disabilities the opportunity to learn new skills, realise their potential and gain confidence, through work, placements and volunteering.

Rhubarb Farm - Charity of the Year

"We are all looking forward to our partnership with Rhubarb Farm, the work they do is a real benefit not only to the wider community but also to the lives that they transform. As one of the region’s largest commercial landscaping contractors the help that we can offer with materials, horticultural expertise and staff volunteering will make a positive lasting impact on the farm."

Angel Fernandez - NT Killingley

As part of our commitment, NT Killingley has already provided much needed raw materials to enable the farm to build a new hot house that will enable the seeding and germination of the farm's plants before they are moved to one of the many poly tunnels.

“Rhubarb Farm is delighted that NT Killingley Ltd has made us their voluntary organisation of the year. This came as a surprise to us and is a fantastic boost for all our activities, and our volunteers. Thank you Killingley for your support we look forward to working with you over the coming year”
