Killingley Earns Prestigious RoSPA Health and Safety Award
Killingley, has won a prestigious RoSPA Award, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to health and safety excellence.
The company received a Gold Award, recognising its dedication to ensuring its employees get home safely at the end of every working day.
The RoSPA Awards, a leading health and safety programme, receives almost 2,000 entries annually from over 50 countries.
This accolade highlights Killingley’s exceptional safety performance and continuous improvement in creating a safer, healthier workplace.

BALI Principle Award Winner
Killingley took home the Principal Winner title for Soft Landscaping Construction at the BALI National Landscape Awards! This prestigious award recognises their exceptional work on the University of Northampton’s Waterside Campus project, marking their second BALI award in three years. The project, completed in collaboration with Bowmer & Kirkland and Kier Construction, involved extensive landscaping efforts, including sourcing and spreading vast amounts of growing mediums, installing wildflower and amenity seeding, laying turf, and planting a significant number of trees and shrubs.

AJ Architecture Awards: Landscape Project of the Year
The Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, designed by Ares Landscape Architects, triumphed at the AJ Architecture Awards, securing the prestigious Landscape Project of the Year title.
This impressive project represents the revitalisation of a formerly dormant site. Built for the 1991 Student Games, the Don Valley Athletics Stadium faced demolition in 2013 due to cost constraints. Ares Landscape Architects spearheaded its transformation into a future sports hub, with a focus on “genuinely stimulating” new landscape features.
Killingley were heavily involved designing the proposed ‘landscape mounds’ with Ares.

BALI Principle Award Winner
Killingley celebrated a double win at the BALI Awards! A private residence in North Yorkshire took home the top prize in the Domestic Garden Construction – Soft Landscaping category, while Fielding Johnson Square earned recognition in the Hard Landscaping Construction (Non-Domestic) category. These awards are a testament to the dedication and collaboration of the entire Killingley team, including landscape architect Steve Welch from Welch Designs.

the RHS Garden for a Changing Climate
Killingley’s Soft Landscaping department, in collaboration with designers Andy Clayden and Dr Ross Cameron, built a unique “Garden for a Changing Climate.”
This garden showcases a side-by-side comparison of a conventional garden today and one designed for 100 years into the future, anticipating potential climate shifts. With a focus on resilience, the future garden incorporates plants that can withstand weather extremes, providing shade, managing stormwater runoff, and promoting a healthy garden ecosystem.

LJCC Merit Award, Fielding Johnson Square, Leicester University
Killingley’s expertise in external works shone through at the LJCC Merit Award ceremony, where their work on the University of Leicester’s Fielding Johnson Square was recognised as the winner in the External Works Category. This prestigious award highlights the exceptional quality and functionality achieved in the transformation of the square, solidifying Killingley’s reputation as a leader in the field.

Killingley celebrates a prestigious win at the BALI National Landscape Awards! Their exceptional work on Fielding Johnson Square at the University of Leicester secured the award winner prize in the Hard Landscaping Construction (Non-Domestic) category for projects between £300k – £1.5 million. This recognition underlines Killingley’s commitment to excellence and expertise in delivering high-quality, functional outdoor spaces.

Bali Award Winner, Elk Mill Retail Park
Killingley was honoured with a coveted BALI award for its exceptional landscape design and implementation at Elk Mill Retail Park.
This esteemed recognition underscores Killingley’s commitment to excellence, professionalism, and client satisfaction, reaffirming its position as a leader in the landscaping industry.

Bali Award Winner, Uppingham School
Killingley Ltd received a prestigious BALI Award for their outstanding landscape design at Uppingham School’s Science Block.
The project, completed in 2014, earned them the top prize in the Hard Landscaping Construction category, showcasing their expertise and Tobermore’s contribution with beautiful Fusion block paving.
