At NT Killingley we have a rolling apprentice training programme. Outside of official apprenticeships, we also have trainee landscape operatives who are taking a more practical approach to their career.
What can I learn?

HORTICULTURE LEVEL 2
This qualification is perfect for those wishing to pursue a career in amenity and landscape gardening.
You will learn a variety of soft and hard landscaping skills both on the job and in the classroom.
HORTICULTURE LEVEL 2
Ideal for those wanting a career in Landscaping. You will learn how to prepare sites for landscaping, use and maintain non-powered & hand held powered tools and the installation of hard standing surfaces.
LANDSCAPING LEVEL 2
HORTICULTURE/LANDSCAPING OPERATIVE
Horticulture and landscape operatives work on some of our most prestigious projects.
Training includes the establishment and maintenance of plants, cultivated areas and landscape construction.
SPORTS TURF OPERATIVE
Sport Turf Operatives look after sports surfaces to ensure that a suitable playing surface is always provided.
You will learn how to identify different grasses and soil types and performance quality standards for different sports turf surfaces.
LANDSCAPING LEVEL 3
Designed for those with previous horticultural experience or a Level 2 qualification
You will learn how to estimate programme resources, specify maintenance schedules and promote, monitor and maintain health & safety on site.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT
A qualification for those wanting an office based career that gives a foundation for future progression
in a wide variety of professional roles.
Key units of experience and study are building customer relationships and administration processes.
What will I earn?
Our apprentices are paid every Friday at the current NMW rate. This rises at the end of each year and on the completion of set targets. You will also get 22 day holiday (in addition to bank holidays) and travel expenses where applicable.
What happens when I have qualified?
It is our ethos wherever possible to promote from within the company and therefore we have schemes in place to ensure that employees who have indicated at their appraisal that they would like to progress to a more senior role will be supported in this. As a Killingley apprentice, you will have a coaching and mentoring programme with your line supervisor and can progress further with higher level qualifications.
