Swadlincote Fire Station

The NT Killingley Earthworks department are happy to announce that they are on site at the new Swadlincote Fire Station project in Derbyshire.

The project initially involves demolition of the existing dilapidated fire station, all suitable materials / stone generated from the demolition operation will be processed on site and reused in the construction of the new station. This value engineered option incorporated in to the work by N T Killingley reduces the requirements for imported quarried materials reducing CO2 emissions and project costs.

Following on from the demolition process N T Killingley will install a large retaining wall to the North of the site maximising the useable site area for the Fire Service training and additionally carrying out the earthworks to create the proposed formation prior to building construction.

The £85,000 sub-contract scheme for Wildgoose Construction began on the 2nd January and will take 12 weeks to complete.
