GM Sam the Half Marathon Man

Grounds Maintenance Manager, Sam Cartwright,  completed the Sheffield Half Marathon with his brother in aid of St Luke’s Hospice in Sheffield raising a total of £836.33. With a generous donation from NT Killingley of £500 that takes Sam's total to a fantastic £1336.33.

Sam Said "When our Dad died a year ago, he spent his last 24 hours here which made a tremendous difference to him in terms of comfort in his final hours. St. Luke’s is dedicated to the well-being of terminally ill people across Sheffield.

 

My family and I witnessed the dedication, care and absolute compassion of everyone at St. Luke’s. The hospice and its staff are not just there for the patient, but for the loved ones too and that care continues to this day."
