NT Killingley take part in UK Plant Operators Excavator Challenge

NT Killingley sent a team of 4 to take part in the Leica Geosystems and UK Plant Operators excavator and machine control challenge.

 

The team of 4 entered the team and individual competitions which involved using an excavator simulator and 3D machine control system to perform an excavation task to a 3D model and place the arisings in a dumper.

 

Scores were to be calculated later based on a percentage accuracy of volume dug and compliance with the 3D model.

The machine control system is the type which NT Killingley utilises on all its larger excavators and bulldozers and as such the team are hopeful to be placed fairly high… we’ll have to wait and see!
