A large scale project to reclaim the old coal stocking heaps at Rabbit Ings.Site clearance and newt fencing preceded the manufacture of topsoil under a design and build arrangement.This involved the mixing of over 50 000 tonnes of ameliorants with colliery spoil to produce the final tested soils.The project was then completed with seeding, planting, fencing and maintenance.
