This project involved the re-establishment of heather moorland on Wessenden Moor to conserve the moor and reverse the current decline in heather coverage. This was an arduous task which was carried out with enthusiasm by a large team from Killingley's. Bales were dropped onto the moor by helicopter and then spread by hand. With long days in freezing temperatures and high winds this was a project which will not be quickly forgotten!
